I agree 100%. As an international student working under the table, minimum-wage jobs to pay for school here I was so pleasantly surprised and shocked that I was able to get free birth control and free checkups at Planned Parenthood. Now that I’m working legally, I am even more happy to donate every time I go there to make up for all the freebies. Planned Parenthood is essential for all women.

I concur! After the birth of my first child, I chose to go to Planned Parenthood for my 6 week check up rather than return to the OB who had delivered my son. Long story but he sucked. And my insurance at the time would not pay for the visit unless I went back to him. I was young and, although I was fortunate enough to have insurance, I was poor and could not afford to pay hundreds of dollars out of pocket. I received more attention and information at my visit to Planned Parenthood than I received throughout my pregnancy. In fact, they diagnosed me with scoliosis. They provide a much needed service at a quality that often exceeds private practice.
