    Sad, isn't it? Logically speaking, you'd think that those who have been abused would be less likely to abuse. Of course, logic is rarely what drives human behavior. Its a cycle that is very difficult to break. Childrearing can be diificult under the best of circumstances. With a history of violence and an absence of a support system and/or positive role models, I'm sure it can be a very daunting task. Thanks for the info.

    It is sad Liz. I'm no expert on the topic, but just from what I've read, it seems like part of the problem is that people don't even realize sometimes how traumatized they are. When things are so deeply hidden from one's own psyche, they manifest in strange and awful ways.

    You're right too, logic rarely drives human behavior. Even people who think they are being logical are often just rationalizing.
